In the paper factory operating in Nazilli, 150 tons of waste paper are recycled daily.
Polat Güven, who became the top taxpayer in 2019 by surpassing many famous companies, exports the products made from the cardboard he produces to 67 countries. Thanks to this, he saves 500,000 trees from being cut down every year. In his company, operating under the name Retek Cellulose Recycling Industry in the Nazilli Organized Industrial Zone, 150 tons of waste paper are processed and recycled daily with advanced production technology and an automation system.
The factory succeeded in obtaining the ‘Food Grade Compliance’ certificate according to EU standards for the cardboard obtained from processed waste paper. The produced materials, depending on demand, are manufactured as golden foil bases for birthday cakes and salmon fish, and are exported to 67 countries, primarily Iraq, Syria, Qatar, Kenya, Dubai, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, and Germany.
