Recycling is the process in which the waste material is converted in new raw material and added in the manufacturing procedure.
It is obvious that natural resources are limited and if not used carefully they will expire soon or later. Together with the prevention of massive expenditure, the efforts to increase the standard of life had led to crisis in energy and development countries who recognize this reality headed towards new technologies in recycling and reuse of materials and energy. Under the same argument the European Union Member States made obligatory changes in the recycling of their wastes and scraps.
Developing countries which are struggling to improve their domestic welfare should stop the expenditure of waste and scrap and should save their national resource on long term, they should start to research and develop their recycling and reuse methods.
The recycling and reuse of Iron, Steel, Cupper, Lead, Paper, Plastic, Glass and similar materials helps to prevent our national resources, reserves valuable money used for the import of scrap and helps to save certain amounts of energy used for the manufacturing process.
As important as the above is the tremendous reduction of solid waste and particularly the remarkable decrease in environmental pollution. Especially, countries which have not the necessary space to place these scraps and waste materials should focus on recycling to save this space.
A remarkable amount of waste could be recycled and reused. For instance materials like glass, metal, plastic, and paper could be used as raw materials after a couple of recycling procedures. Recycling is the process of manufacturing bottles, cans, plastics, paper and fertilizer from these types of waste materials. A healthy recycling procedure begins with the rational and separated collection of these waste materials. If these recyclable materials mix with ordinary garbage, the finished products’ quality will be much lower and the cleansing procedures would be much more difficult. Accordingly, the most important step would be the first step where the waste is separated and collected.
