How aware are we about Recycling?

In the 1970’s the activities to protect the environment has been accelerated, in the 1980’s it has been recognized that the most important tool is to save these natural sources, all over the world important steps had been taken, mainly packaging materials all waste materials had become an issue for environmental protection, recycling material and energy has become a major goal of many countries.

The interest on this topic is also rising from day to day in our country. In order to bring a legislative basis on these activities the Solid Waste Control Regulation had been published in 1994, this regulation brought certain activities on a narrow meaning, after 2004 the regulation was more based on similar standards as the European Union Member states and had a broader impact particularly on collecting the waste material separated from the begin on.

Trying to put a legislative basis on recycling brought certain social reflections together. Manufacturers with less respect to the environment will lose their prestige. Consumers show more interest in products that are either made from recycled material or use recycled materials.
