The factory is one of a kind in Aydın and carries out production at two factories situated on a 12,500 square meter space. The factory exports gold cake doilies and salmon backing boards to 42 countries including Iraq, Syria, Qatar, Dubai, the UK and Germany by processing 13 truckload of waste paper collected from İzmir, Denizli and Aydın into cardboards.
Aydın Parliament Member and Head of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Committee Mustafa Savaş toured the factories and listened to demands of the businessperson Polat Güven, the owner of the factory. He stated that the company aims to reach 20 million USD export revenue by 2023 through increasing the capacity of the factory where 80 employees work, however they cannot accomplish this due to lack of available land for a new factory in Organized Industrial Zone, thus the corporate seeks state aid for the realization of this project.
“WE CAN GROW TEN TIMES PROVIDED THAT WE RECEIVE STATE AID AND A SUITABLE LAND”
Mechanical Engineer MSc Polat Güven said: “In order to enhance the employment and the physical structure of the factory, the company needs a 100 decare land and subsidies. The company has grown only through its own means to this day. If we had received aids in the first place, we would have grown ten times. The corporate wants to make new investments, yet we have not been able to find a land in ideal size in Organized Industrial Zone. The company also wants to benefit from state grants for export,” in his statement.
“WE NEED TO PRODUCE TO PROSPER”
AK Party Aydın Parliament Member Mustafa Savaş promised about providing the land and he added: “The government provides numerous grants and financial aids for export. As a country, we need to produce to prosper. With the production, there comes employment and export, therefore our country would develop. I congratulate businesspeople like you on playing a key role in production and employment, the government holds you dear. Therefore we are going to take care of it and we are going to discuss the matter with the authorities about finding the ideal land.” Savaş left the factory after being informed that Polat Güven was the tax champion in 2019 and congratulating him again on this.
